The moment we’ve been waiting for

After a year of planning, investment, testing, and teamwork, Gedit’s new Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) production facility is now officially operational.

This marks a significant milestone and the beginning of a new chapter in the strategic partnership between Gedit SpA and Ares Ambiente Srl, which has been entrusted with the commercial management of the project.

Over the coming weeks, we will take you inside the facility and show you, step by step, how high-quality SRF is produced, from material selection and processing to the rigorous quality control procedures that ensure a fuel with consistent performance, high calorific value, and low moisture, chlorine and metal content, in full compliance with the applicable technical and regulatory standards.

The shared focus is clear: in the coming months, to complete the transition toward the production of End-of-Waste Fuel Grade SRF, in accordance with legislation, transforming waste into a certified product ready for end users. This process is built on stringent requirements for quality, traceability, and regulatory compliance, reinforcing a model that recognizes waste as a valuable resource and makes a tangible contribution to the transition toward a more circular economy.

For Gedit and Ares Ambiente, this represents a strategic investment in competitiveness, quality, and customer confidence.

For the market, it means having an increasingly well-structured industrial partner capable of delivering reliability, continuity of supply, and consistently high-quality standards.

This is just the first frame of a new journey that deserves to be shared.

At Ares, we’re ready to open the doors of the facility and take you behind the scenes, sharing every stage of this project from the inside.
