Hazardous waste

Waste can be classified as hazardous, if it contains a high concentration of pollutants, or if it is classified by the legislator as such by origin.

The hazardous characteristics of the waste are indicated in Regulation (EU) no. 1357/2014. All waste classified as hazardous are those listed in the EWC codes (European List of Waste) - LoW followed by an asterisk *.

If hazardous waste is subject to ADR regulations, it must be identified with the appropriate labels.
